Back in the day, our founding member sported some of the best lettuce in the entire New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). His perfectly sculpted hair was just the right length—long enough to peek out from under his helmet and say hello, yet short enough to keep a sleek, high-speed profile. However, like many college students, life after graduation meant making some changes. With a focus more on partying than on hockey during his college years, he found himself seeking a real job. Since academics took a backseat too, he enlisted in the United States Air Force—farewell to his hockey aspirations and his cherished suéter de cabeza! To make matters worse, he was relocated to the Memphis area, where hockey tends to confuse and intimidate most of the local population.

No longer able to let his hair flow freely due to military regulations, and with limited hockey interest in his new hometown, our founder created SICFLO HOCKEY as a way to celebrate his flow of yesteryear while simultaneously promoting hockey in the South.
